Brief career history:
02 May 2013 to date – joined Exxaro Resources Limited as Executive Head: Strategy & Corporate Affairs with responsibility for strategy development and facilitation, stakeholder engagement (including investor relations) and public affairs.
After graduating with a BSc (Mining) Engineering degree from Wits, worked for Anglogold for 5 years at Elandsrand from December 1992 to March 1998 – last role was technical assistant.
Joined Rand Merchant Bank in the Class of 1998. Worked in various ro;es and transactions including mining and infrastructure related projects in the Corporate Finance and Project Finance divisions; Personal Assistant to the CEO of FirstRand Bank, Mr Paul Harris and credit analyst.
In July 2002, joined Gold Fields Mining Services as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Development unit with responsibility for Corporate Finance, M&A and Corporate Strategy.
August 2004 Joined Deutsche Bank as Vice President in Corporate Finance until June 2006.
August 2006 to April 2013: with Royal Bafokeng Holdings as Investment Manager, responsible for resources investments, including interest in Merafe Resources Limited and Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mine JV; in January 2010 appointed at Royal Bafokeng Platinum as Executive – Business Sustainability
