Presented by Dean Hoare , Mining Productivity Consultant, Joy Global
Joy Global is continuously pursuing the optimal performance of their equipment fleets in the underground South African coal mining environment. Joy equipment manufacturers around the World will say that ‘all Joy Continuous miners are created equal’ Yet in the field, many CMs underperform against their design potential. We explore why there is such variability and how CM mining practices, machine tune -up and ‘JoySmart Solutions’ enables us to unlock the production potential.
The presentation describes the recent developments in the use of real time equipment data acquisition and analysis, monitoring of improvements in equipment productivity and utilisation, outlining the key performance drivers necessary for mechanised coal mining equipment to be optimally managed and implemented.
