Pyrometallurgical Modelling
"Principles and Practices"

4-5 August 2014 | Emperors Palace Convention Centre

Pyrometallurgical modelling can add value to industry, from process inception, through research and design to process optimization. Rapid advancements in modelling software and computing hardware allow more opportunities to take advantage of pyrometallurgical modelling. People in industry, not involved in modelling from day to day, tend to get 'rusted' in the basics but very often long for an opportunity to refresh their knowledge. Practitioners could also benefit from a forum to exchange ideas with peers.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Companies wishing to sponsor or exhibit should contact:
Camielah Jardine
Conference Coordinator
SAIMM, P O Box 61127
Tel: (011) 834-1273/7
Fax: (011) 833-8156 or (011) 838-5923

To establish a modelling networking group
• Refresh basic pyrometallurgical knowledge related to principals and practices and how to approach a modelling project
• Exchange success stories and lessons learnt
• Focus on the value added, monetary and other
• Catch up on progress made in this field—software and applications in industry
• Sensitise delegates to the possiblities and opportunities to use pyrometallurgical modelling to add value
• Workshop applications, methods and case studies .
