Diversity and Inclusion to me is now beyond definitions of the concepts but implementation for shared value and growth for all. It is about a nonjudgmental seeing and appreciation of the uniqueness of the other person in a community or organization. It is about enabling the finding of the gold nuggets in them that are different from one’s own and allowing them to serve the whole.

I see you without judgement, sawubona, and I celebrate you although you are different from me. I see you as a valuable subset of the whole.
It invokes
A sense of acceptance and a sense of belonging; ‘I too am seen and am valued.’
It fosters
A sense of a fair playing field, that is, all voices have something of value to contribute towards organizational goals for success.
A buy-in by all for success, a sense that is a safe place to contribute.
It results in
Innovation without reserve
Unity, despite differences, as a house divided cannot stand
Ambassadors for your cause.
A word of caution
What does not get measured does not succeed. From the executives to the latest incumbent, all must have adapted KPIs on the matter!
And finally …
