The South African National Committee on Tunnelling (SANCOT), in partnership with the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), invites you to the next SANCOT Breakfast Talk which will take place on 30 September 2025 at SRK House, 265 Oxford Road, Illovo, Johannesburg. Virtual attendance via Teams link is also possible for SANCOT members who may not be able to attend in‑person.

About the Presenter
Frank Hurst
Hurst Mine Tec Group of Companies
Frank is a chartered engineer with over 35 years of diverse industrial experience, including more than 12 years in international executive roles.
He specializes in mechanical excavation for tunnel and shaft sinking, with a primary focus on Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM).
Based in South Africa, his company, HMTEC CC, focuses on business development for European OEMs in the underground civil construction and mining industry.
Additionally, he is a member of a team of experts providing engineering services for TBM, shaft sinking, micro-tunneling and pipe jacking technology
