Background

WHY THIS SESSION MATTERS FOR MINING

Artificial intelligence is already transforming how mines explore, operate, and engage — but without leadership clarity, AI risks becoming either hype or hazard.
This session translates AI into mining’s context, helping professionals lead with:

  • Operational relevance
AI applications across the value chain, from exploration to processing, supply chain, sustainability, safety, and cybersecurity
  • Practicality
Hands-on tools and use cases that work without coding
  • Responsibility
Ethical awareness for automation, risk, workforce equity, and digital safety
  • Confidence
The ability to align AI adoption with business outcomes and on-site realities

This isn’t AI for technical experts. It’s for operational leaders building the future of mining.
No coding skills required — just curiosity, context, and a readiness to lead.
