Because Africa contains the world's greatest mineral riches, a beneficiation establishment must be motivated to maximize the wealth's value. If I were to join the YPC, I would spearhead the nurturing initiative, mineral beneficiation, and R&D to better position the industry to lead the fourth industrial revolution.

Brief career history:
With over nine years of experience in open pit and underground mining, I am a highly talented, knowledgeable, and resourceful Mining Engineer. Gold, nickel, and diamond ore deposits, both underdeveloped and remnant mining, are among the minerals/metals I've worked with during my career. Debswana Diamond Company employs me as a Mining Engineer Capital Projects.
I began my postgraduate career as a Mining Engineer in Training with Vale Canada Limited's Manitoba Operations, where I worked for just over four years in Production and Capital Planning roles. Mupane Gold Mining, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galane Gold Ltd, was where I previously worked.

What are your views on the 4th industrial revolution?
Regardless of location, the Fourth Industrial Revolution innovation can improve working conditions, management, and the economy. Most data held by mining businesses is currently stored in a cloud or server, and that data is not currently being analyzed to extract value and potential. COVID19 has altered the way we work and how we connect via video and telecon; regrettably, a Pandemic was required to extract value. Web security is the most serious threat to the 4IR.
If you were a precious metal what would you be and why?
Rhodium is the most valuable and scarce precious metal on the planet. Rhodium is a naturally occurring element that is only occasionally seen as a chemical compound. This is the valuable metal that most people are unaware of, but which has an impact on their daily life. Nuclear reactors could not measure neutron flux levels without Rhodium.
Rhodium is primarily employed in catalytic converters; it is chosen above other platinum group metals because of its capacity to convert nitrogen oxides to nitrogen and oxygen; the world would be a better place if Rhodium were more widely employed.
How do you think industry bodies such as the SAIMM can better equip young professionals such as yourself?
Ability to get funds and drive R&D; Komatsu is one of the largest heavy equipment manufacturers in the mining industry, even though mining activity in Japan is low. Japan's mining sector compelled them to produce equipment, which they then exported as production dropped in the 1980s. Africa's mining potential and capacity should be designed, developed, and driven.
How do you see young professionals making a significant change in the industry?
Encourage, challenge, and trust in them; change is inevitable.
Encourage innovation rather than micromanaging talent.

Given the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the world or society.
