The Fourth Industrial Revolution will bring about data-driven planning, control, and decision-making tools. The mining industry needs to timeously adopt digital innovations to improve safety, operational efficiency, profit margins and to remain competitive in an evolving world.

If you were a precious metal what would you be and why?

Platinum is extremely resistant to tarnishing and corrosion and is also malleable, making it easy to shape. Such characteristics of platinum reflect my skills and attributes.

By creating a conducive environment for innovation, strategic thinking and operational excellence in the mining industry

How do you see young professionals making a significant change in the industry?

Young professionals will take a leading role towards embracing 4th industrial revolution techniques. The mining industry faces unique opportunities to explore new technologies and modes of communications by engaging young professionals who are looking for cutting-edge and meaningful work environments.

What gets you up in the morning?

The opportunity to learn something new in a dynamic mining environment. That’s the ability for me to feel as though I am newly alive in this world by refreshing my perspective on something I haven’t seen before or educated myself on something I previously was unaware of.
