Brief career history:

My career history is primarily in research and academia as I chose to pursue postgraduate studies soon after completing my first degree. I have worked as a teaching and research assistant with three different research groups. Also, l completed a 1-year internship with a focus on power plant engineering and metallurgical assay services with the Zimbabwe Power Company.

How do you think industry bodies such as the SAIMM can better equip young professionals such as yourself?

Networking is essential for young professionals and the SAIMM, l know from experience, is a great place to network and foster new friendships.

How do you see young professionals making a significant change in the industry?
Technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate. Young professionals can easily adapt to change; hence they can keep the regional mining and metallurgical industry competitive within the context of the 4IR.
