The conference is being organised by The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Contributions are invited on topics such as:
• Innovative education approaches
• Distant education initiatives
• Education capacity building case studies
• Challenges of mines of the future
• International collaborative research case studies.

Kindly note that acceptance of abstracts will be limited, once accepted a full paper is required. The papers will be reviewed and the abstract published in the proceedings abstract booklet. Accepted papers will also be considered for publishing in a Special SAIMM December 2014 Journal.

Prospective authors are invited to submit titles and abstracts of their papers, in English. The abstracts should be no longer than 500 words and should be submitted to:
