Rock Engineering For Managers In Hard Rock Tabular Mines

Date 01 June 2011
- 02 June 2011
Location Misty Hills Conference Centre, Muldersdrift, Cradle of Humankind, Johannesburg
We are no longer accepting registration for this event

Rock related accidents remain one of the major causes of injuries and fatalities in South African hard rock tabular mines. These accidents can also have a significant economic impact on operations. It is therefore imperative that managers, planners, and mine inspectors are aware of the critical aspects of current rock engineering practice. This school will provide a comprehensive summary of current rock engineering practice and will highlight the critical aspects that managers need to consider during design and operation.
