3rd
Mineral Project Valuation School

9-11 September 2014
New Mine Design Lab, Chamber of Mines Building |The University of the Witwatersrand

The SAIMM announces the 3rd Mineral Project Valuation School following two previous
successful schools in 2011 and 2012 that were fully subscribed. In 2012 the audience
included international delegates from the United Kingdom, Australia, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In 2013 the School was on recess and will in future run every alternate year. Some developments have also occurred in the Mineral Project Valuation space such as the formation of the International Mineral Valuation Committee (IMVAL) in 2012 in Brisbane, Australia, primarily to develop a globally acceptable mineral asset valuation template aimed at by harmonising the national mineral asset valuation (MAV) codes.

In South Africa the Royalty Act is now a reality and the SAMVAL code is currently being re-written. This School will provide you with insights into these and other developments that will affect the way you conduct mineral project valuations and equip you with relevant techniques for undertaking MAV. Seats are limited so book your seats early as the next SAIMM Mineral Project Valuation School will only be run in 2016.
