INTRODUCTION
Inclusive growth in the mining industry is critical for an economic growth that creates an opportunity for all segments of the population and distributes the dividends of increased prosperity, both in monetary and non-monetary terms, fairly across society.
Sustainable development refers to development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable economic growth is the growth that balances the 3 pillars of the bottom line:
i. Economic,
ii. Social,
iii. and Environmental considerations
Understanding the complex connections and interdependence of these three pillars requires constant effort by all stakeholders in the mining industry.
With a multitude of new and enabling technologies in all fields of life, this conference will focus on Future thinking and the foresight of the technology, application and its impact on the mining industry.
