About Dee Campouroglou

Dee is the Managing Director of AFC Investments Management (PTY) LTD, a boutique investment management house that invests funds on behalf of Retirement Portfolios, Charitable Trusts and High Net Worth Individuals. She has been with the company for twenty five years, and has honed her investment skills around Thematic Investing and Behavioural Finance, with a healthy dose of Common Sense thrown in for good measure.

She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in the early 70’s with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Mathematics and Statistics. This was followed by a Higher Diploma in Teaching, with resulted her teaching for a stint at Carlton Jones High School in Carletonville. The rigours of teaching Maths to young men in this environment caused her to flee to Systems Programming, a new occupation that was to lead her into the world of Stock Broking in the late 70’s. She was fascinated by the research field, so from Systems Engineering on Mainframes at the JSE, she migrated to Reseachi8ng Markets and Companies
