Presenter:
Matt Mullins is a mining industry professional with over 40 years’ experience. He has worked for major and mid-tier mining companies (ArcelorMittal, BHP, Barrick, Severin Mining and Goldfields), and as a consultant, a mining analyst, and in rock engineering research. He is currently an Executive Consultant with Snowden, based in London. He has worked in multiple commodities (mainly diamonds, gold, PGEs, aluminium, copper, nickel, zinc, iron ore, manganese, coal and heavy minerals), in multiple geographies and across the mining value chain. He was a member of the Chief Operating Officers Council for BHP Billiton South Africa, headed up Brownfields Exploration for five years, and headed up Productivity, both for BHP. He has been closely involved in the development of global resource reporting standards since 1994 and was President of the Geological Society of South Africa in 2008/09.
