This webinar will introduce Climate Risk Assessment for the mining sector. Financial disclosure requiremwents are increasingly stringent, driven by frameworks such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, and emerging national regulations.

These frameworks emphasize transparency in reporting climate-related risks and opportunities, requiring organisations to disclose governance structures, risk management strategies, and financial implications of climate change. The webinar will cover the requirements and introduce the concept of physical, transitional, and liability risks associated with changing environmental conditions. This as an introduction to the remainder of the webinar series that will explore methodologies for quantifying these risks, including scenario analysis, risk mapping, and integration of climate data into baseline risk assessments and financial models.
