In its initial foray into assisting government and the mining industry’s regulators, the SAIMM has offered to provide support for the DMRE’s evolving National Mine Closure strategy. The Chairperson of the SAIMM ESGS Committee, Prof Michael Solomon, has for the last four years served as the Senior Advisor to and Coordinator of the strategy.
