Background
The South African National Committee on Tunnelling (SANCOT), in partnership with the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), invites you to the next SANCOT Breakfast Talk which will take place on 20 March 2025 at SRK House, 265 Oxford Road, Illovo, Johannesburg. Virtual Attendance via Zoom is also possible for SANCOT members who may not be able to attend in-person.

About the Presenter
Frank is a chartered engineer with over 35 years of diverse industrial experience, including more than 12 years in international executive roles.
He specializes in mechanical excavation for tunnel and shaft sinking, with a primary focus on Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM).
Based in South Africa, his company, HMTEC CC, focuses on business development for European OEMs in the underground civil construction and mining industry.
Additionally, he is a member of a team of experts providing engineering services for TBM, shaft sinking, micro-tunneling and pipe jacking technology
Schedule
- 07:00: Welcome with coffee/tea
- 07:05: Introduction of speaker
- 07:10: 30minute presentation
- 07:40: Q&A from audience
- 08:00: End of breakfast talk.
Following the talk, we will walk across the road for a coffee/quick breakfast at a local restaurant/cafeteria at Thrupps Centre. (For delegate’s own account)
