Our digital conference will support our industry journey towards zero harm for our mine and minerals industry employees, ensuring that they go home safe and healthy every day.
We will be showcasing industry leading practices, where case studies will show how companies have successfully achieved their safety and health goals, with leading practitioners and industry leaders presenting their achievements.
In this way, we will be showcasing leadership requirements and benchmarks, which indicate how we can achieve our objectives through people, systems and technologies.
We will also be exploring the areas of occupational and personal health as they impact on the workplace, and especially exploring the learnings from the COVID19 experience, in order to understand how these will impact on the way we work, and engage with our communities.
The increasingly important area of Environment, Sustainability and Governance will also be unpacked, in order to understand how the mining and minerals can improve its image and place in society.
Hear from industry leaders, health and safety professionals, organised labour, regulators, technology experts and leaders, fund managers, academics and many more.
Join us for an exciting and stimulating set of presentations, panel discussions and live question and answer sessions in our webinar environment.
Our International Mine Health and Safety conference is turning into a very special, digital, Pan-Atlantic event. The event has attracted four papers on best practices in health and safety in Canada, and four f rom the USA. From South America we have a paper f rom Chile, and f rom across Southern Af rica and North Af rica we have 14 papers. Importantly we have experiences on the impacts and aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic f rom South Af rica and the USA, and best practices in health and safety f rom award-winning operations and companies in Canada and Chile. We have enlightening contributions on the increasing involvement of women in mining, as well as presentations on the impact of human factors and effective leadership in health and safety in mines. In addition to these, we have contributions on state of the art technical innovations in mining.
This is stacking up to be a great global event that you and your company can ill-afford to miss. We have designed special packages and discounts for companies to have delegates attending f rom their mine sites and have tailored the timing of the sessions and presentations to suit the transatlantic time zones. Through Q&A sessions, you will be able to put your questions to the presenters, as all the presentations will be live. We extend our sincere thanks to the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers, the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and the Society of Mining Engineers for their most valuable assistance in putting this great event together.
