The Business of a Commodity Trader – getting the result of your efforts to market
PRESENTER: Clive Stewart – Head Business Development, Traxys Africa Pty Ltd
The role of a commodity trader is simply to find a market and match buyers with producers. But in a competitive environment, with limited access to finance a trader becomes more than just your agent or off-taker, but also your marketer, your financier with trade and working capital facilities, your transporter, your logistics manager, your port handler, your clearing agent, your ship broker, your advisor, your investor and a close ally.
This presentation will detail some of the opportunities for traders to collaborate with producers to take their projects from the drawing boards to production and revenue.
