SAIMM YPC Namibia: Technical Conference 2019

Call for Abstracts!
SAIMM YPC Namibia will be hosting its first Technical Conference and Annual General Meeting on the 1st November 2019 in Windhoek, Roof of Africa Hotel and Conference Center. All young professionals in mining related fields and mining service providers are hereby invited to submit their research abstracts under the theme “driving the mining industry forward”.

4 October 2019 Abstract submission due date
18 October 2019 Acceptance of abstracts
30 October 2019 Submission of presentations
1 November 2019 Technical Conference day

Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts requirements and submission guidelines:

• The abstract should not be more than 300 words
• Abstracts must have a title, name and affiliation of the author(s)
• Abstracts must include the following: aim, methods, results and conclusions.
• Author(s) should be 35 years or younger
• Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12, Line spacing: 1.5, Paragraph alignment: Justified

All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the conference committee prior to approval. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified in due course and are expected to present their work on the 1st November 2019.
