Following the successful ‘Implications of S-K 1300 regulations and disclosures for dual-listed companies on the JSE and NYSE’ workshop and outcomes arising in 2022, the SSC is planning to host a follow-up workshop for a knowledge update based on feedback from entities concerning the SEC’s views and recommendations ensuing from the Round 1 of S-K 1300 reporting. Additional key themes will include:

  • Lessons learned from the first reporting cycle
  • Opportunities to streamline the reporting process
  • Materiality assessments
  • What does a compliant and leading practice S-K 1300 TRS report look like
  • QP and SME accreditation, accountability, and liability
  • Standard approach to Exclusive Mineral Resource Reporting (EMR)
  • Any updated SEC guidance or instruction

Note: The workshop in not meant to be official S-K1300 training nor legal interpretation of the laws and regulations, but meant to provide views from the SSC perspective, in order to assist streamlined reporting for local dual-listed companies and QPs.
